How to Help:
You can help, too! The project relies on the generosity of people like you to reach the goals set to preserve, promote and protect the rediscovered treasure for generations to come. Every contribution is important.
Funding is needed in order to complete the archaeological work and convert the property into a historic park site. The Mini-Museum already has a roof with walls closed in and windows installed. Funds and services and materials are needed to install fencing and landscaping, to provide services and materials to lay a small two foot high portion of brick, to install vinyl siding, an inside cement floor, interpretative signs, and framing for some of the history making information on the walls.
Citizens, organizations and businesses are asked to contribute in establishing, preserving and achieving this important Historic Church Park goal. Everyone is invited to make a financial contribution and become a member of one of our three Community Funding Groups. The three groups are:
- The 1742 Society (with a donation of $500.00, or more);
- The Elk Run Society (with a donation of $250.00 to $500.00); and
- Friends of Elk Run Society (with a donation of $1.00 to $250.00).
Checks may be made payable to “Elk Run Site Preservation Fund” and sent in care of St. Stephen’s Church, 8538 Greenwich Road, Catlett, Virginia 20119.
Donations are tax deductible.

Please join in supporting this important work. Your gift this year will ensure the on-going discovery of our past at Elk Run and expand knowledge of Fauquier County history. Every contribution is important.
