Year-Round Shelter is Dug

On May 12, 2007, footers for the Year-Round Shelter is dug, and on May 18, the concrete was poured into the footers and leveled by Greg Miller for laying of the block.

On June 9, the laying of the foundation block for the Shelter was started and continued on June 23, 2007.

On July 7 and July 28, block work continued on the Shelter foundation and was almost completed.

Great Meadows Celebration

At the July 4, 2007 Great Meadows Celebration in The Plains, Virginia, the Elk Run Church Site Preservation Committee provided a display of artifacts, brochures, postcards, the year-round Shelter model, and the new Elk Run Church Site Video Documentary for public viewing.
